The kindness of the British people. The relaxed life style. The beautiful rough nature. The British accents. Called 'my love' by strangers. Cashiers who help packing your shoppings. Live music everywhere. The pubs. Meeting amazing people who become your friends! The 'back to basic' attitude. British people who helped supporting the Netherlands during the football world cup. The greenness in spring, sunny summer and pretty coloured leaves in autumn. Night life that starts after dinner. The 'it is all normal' way of thinking. Bank holidays. Speaking Dunglish. Carpet in bathrooms. Working with fishermen. The outdoor life. Pretty walks. Never feeling over or under dressed. Interesting fisheries research. Raining 'cats and dogs'. The passion for triathlons. Bonfires at the beach. Learning to dance salsa. Fish and chips or chips with cheese and gravy. A super birthday BBQ party. T Kill Ya. Brown coloured kitchens. Enjoying many gigs. The crazy British party style. Houses painted in all possible bright colours. Hilly cycle trips and runs. The impossible Welsh language. Weekend Liverpool. The gym opening at 6.30 am. Driving a car on the other side of the road. Amazing fieldwork. Great salsa parties. Eating a lot of fresh (self caught) seafood. The delicious cakes and tasty ciders. The enormous supermarkets. Annefleur coming over! Spinning classes at 6.45 am. Having four seasons a day. The mountains which never look the same. Celebrating Halloween. 5th of November bonfire night. The craziness for Christmas. British people wearing orange clothes! And probably I forgot some stuff..
Thank you all for this amazing experience. I will miss it, but those memories will last for ever! All the best! Love.
